During Covid-19 unprecedented crisis, CoopEst provides more funds to two exciting clients: Lider in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Smart Credit in Moldova. This will support them in resuming or strengthening their lending activity to under-served or low-income population.
Lider is a regulated MFI operating across Bosnia & Herzegovina since 2002, providing long-term access to financial servicesfor entrepreneurs and low-income population. 64% of its active clients come from rural areas and 100% of it outstanding loans are below GNI per capita.
Smart Credit aims at serving micro-entrepreneurs, farmers and financially excluded persons, especially in rural areas (70% of its portfolio). More than half of its clients base are women.
