We are happy to inform that in September Helenos extended a subordinated loan of EUR 1 M to Agency for Finance in Kosovo (AFK). AFK serves over 20 000 low-income people, with half of the EUR 34 M portfolio dedicated to rural areas and about 90% of loans supporting income-generating activities. In terms of outreach, 85% of outstanding loans are below the GNI per capita, marking the MFI poverty focus. AFK was the first MFI in Kosovo to receive Smart Campaign Client Protection Certification in 2015. The MFI is also planning to undergo the SPI-4 audit still this year.
